Films at the Bundy

Great films in great company

Monthly film nights at the Bundy Hall

Films at the Bundy is a fun, local film society showing indie, arthouse, Australian and international films.

We screen a variety of interesting films that might not otherwise reach our regional audience.

Film nights are on the fourth Wednesday of the month at the Bundalaguah-Myrtlebank Hall, between Maffra and Sale on Gunaikurnai Country, Gippsland.

Membership is $100 per year, $50 per season, or $25 for three months. Visitors are welcome to attend their first screening for free.

2025 Season 1

Film Chat

Before each screening, one of our members gives a short introduction to the film, giving information about context, analysis and/or reception, as well as things you can look out for (no spoilers!).

After the movie, members can stick around to help pack up the hall, borrow DVDs, and talk to fellow members about the film.

We have recently started hosting a chat over coffee in a local cafe on the Saturday following each screening for members to dig a bit deeper into the movie and discuss films more generally.

DVD Library

We have an extensive DVD library available to members. Borrow a few titles on screening night and return them the next month - or drop them into the returns box at the Bundy.

The library comprises films screened by Films at the Bundy and, before that, by Court Film Society. Catch up with our back catalogue and borrow some of the most interesting films of the last decade!

Film Societies

Films at the Bundy is a member of the Federation of Victorian Film Societies. For information about groups elsewhere in Australia, check out the Australian Council of Film Socieites.

Other film societies near us include Sale Film Society and LV Film Society. You can find more Victorian film societies on the FVFS website.
